POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operational Reporting and Analysis team within the National Care Management area is responsible for book of business operational measurement and analysis. This team currently partners with the following operational areas: Disease Management, Wellness, Healthy Lifestyle Coaching, and National Medical Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for creating and maintaining analytical and reporting deliverables to facilitate effective management and to positively influence operational performance.

* Actively participate in root cause analysis and work with internal partners to resolve and/or improve workflow processes.

* Should have a strong passion for data integrity and be able to understand their audience and associated work processes to be able to effectively turn data into meaningful information in a clear, crisp presentation.

EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
* 2-4 years experience in a health care with accountability for business results is preferred.

* MS Excel and Access is required.
* Technical proficiency using tools such as SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and Crystal Reports is a plus.

* Knowledge of managed care and medical management programs/initiatives and how they help control medical claims costs and provide quality care and service is a plus.

* Candidate should have hybrid skill set that spans both technical and analytical.

* Ability to coordinate projects across functional areas.

* Detailed knowledge of medical management systems, care management programs and processes at Aetna and/or clinical experience is a plus.

* Should have demonstrated skills in data gathering, interpretation and analysis, and data presentation.

* Expectations are that this individual will have solid communication/written skills to facilitate independent follow through on process questions, to influence problem resolution, and to recommend workflow enhancements.

* Knowledge of Aetna systems: ODS, ATV, SRDB, and eTUMS is desired.

* Information Management: Data acquisition, data management, programming and documentation

* General Management: Data Analysis and Interpretation
