Bachelor’s degree in health care profession and Masters degree in a health related field preferred. 3-5 years of clinical care experience. Pediatrics preferred.
1-2 years or equivalent of clinically focused work writing policies or guidance documents, promoting patient safety principles and/or clinical regulatory experience.
Facilitation skills to successfully advance the documentation of processes involving complex teams
Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing documents. Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating with teams to achieve the expected results while engendering cooperation, confidence and respect from leaders and staff at all levels of the organization.
Ability to use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to barriers to policy development/revision activity and process.
Advanced in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Internet functions.
Job Description: Acts as the coordinator and advisor on the development and maintenance of interdisciplinary patient care policies, procedures and job aids. Provides training and advises clinical leaders on the process, facilitates completion and approval of documents and assures that documents are stored and available. Collaborates with other policy and procedure system owners to eliminate duplication or gaps and to manage overlap. Functions as an expert in patient safety, especially as related to incorporating safety behaviors for error prevention into documents.
The hours can be flexible, including some ability to work from home
